Just stumbled across the recording of me scraping all of my guitar strings while adding headphones from my amp (with distortion) to my phone when i recorded the sound and i decided to share this with you.

This sound is made using the op-x synthesis with some added reverb.

Manipulated sounds, mainly dogs barking, recorded into a korg kaoss pad3 from a hp computer. The recordings on each pad edited to fit a time frame. Played on four pads on the korg pad and recorded back into the hp computer into cubase. Then manipulated further using standard eq and a tint of reverb. Location: reykjanesbær, iceland.

This is about 2 minutes total. It is of an approaching long freight train passing about 100 yards away in it's entirety. Train was doing around 45 mph. There are no other background sounds, no traffic, no crossing alarms, no street noise, no airplanes, no people, etc. There are three diesel electric locomotives in the front, then about a mile of freight cars, then one diesel electric locomotive "pushing" from the rear (it almost sounds like a jet engine!). This is actually the electric door bell in my home, but it's loud and has an alarm type sound to it. The sound was recorded using a tascam dr-05 version 2 with the mic placed on the floor while the bell was just below ceiling height in my hall.
